History:

PonyBoy Productions was founded in New York City in 1996. In the early stages of its creation PBPS’ focus was primarily in the alternative world of music productions. Over the years as the company has grown and made a name for itself our expertise has expanded into multiple genres consisting of TV productions, documentaries, reality television, live performances, and corporate events. Our broad range of clients includes Atlantic Records, Capital Records, CBS, Columbia Records, Disney, Def Jam, Doggy Style Records, FOX Network, Netflix, Paramount Pictures, Proctor & Gamble, Sony Pictures, Universal Music Group, Universal Pictures, Virgin Records, Warner Bros and more.

Our Services

Executive LIVE Production & Development:

PBPS began and originally cemented its reputation as a production house. Over the past two decades as the company has grown, so have our relationships within the Live, Musical and Branded Entertainment industries. A large part of our business now stems from internally generated concepts and pitches as well as from developing and putting together deals with outside strategic partners.

TV, Commercial, Concert Productions:

Producing concerts, television performances and commercial projects has always been and will continue to be the focus of PonyBoy Productions. Much of the work PBPS does for our clients is to handle and oversee all elements of the production process: including development of creative concepts, managing the crew and budget for an entire project.

Pre-& Post Concert, Corporate Productions:

Both the New York and California offices are post-production facilities. At the request of our clients, the majority of our projects are finished in-house by our post-production team.

Tour Directing & Production Designing:

PBPS founders will often take on additional roles as tour managers, tour directors, and/or production managers. In recent years however, the demand for their creative style and cinematic eye has given them the opportunity to focus more creatively on projects as tour directors and production designers.

We are able to combine our fireworks knowledge and expertise with special and close-proximity effects to create incredible shows for clients and their audiences. Pyrotechnics are an extremely diverse set of effects, and it takes a company with extensive production experience to ensure a safe and comfortable environment for the audience, cast, and crew. No one does this better than VOLT. Our pyrotechnicians bring years of production experience to each and every project, along with imagination, creativity, and design ability that are second to none. Using world-class technology, we are able to precisely choreograph all pyrotechnic effects with other production elements, creating breathtaking visual displays with the utmost attention to safety.

Solid state white lights, solid state green lasers, and high power yag lasers. Air cooled and powered by standard 120V wall circuit, millions of colors can be mixed to match any color palette. High visibility and desired intensity.

With our cryogenics effects, natural air is used to create incredible background and front-of-stage effects including theatrical smoke effects, cryo “frozen fog” jets of liquid CO2, and the high-pressure excitement of jets pulsing to the beat of your favorite music.

Customized color, shape, and size to add excitement to any occasion. Confetti blowers for continuous flows of confetti suitable for any venue, and confetti cannons for precise bursts of confetti or streamers on cue.

We choreograph water with lights, lasers, video and sound to create a dramatic array of water effects. From dancing fountains and water cannons to geysers and water screens, we have the H2O effects to entertain your audiences.
